Every year, Dear Ketandu embraces a theme to guide us and inspire our community. For 2025, our theme is Afọ Ọma—The Good Year.
But what does “The Good Year” truly mean? It’s not just about accomplishments or milestones; it’s about you. Afọ Ọma is an invitation to embrace intentionality, reflect on your journey, and step forward with clarity and purpose.
As my friend’s mum used to say, “Mgbé ónyé ji kùnié bu ùtútú ya,” this means whenever you wake up is your morning. The essence of this proverb is simple yet profound: it reminds us that your beginning starts whenever you’re ready. It’s a personal journey—when you come to a place of self-realization, that’s when you truly begin to live.
This year, we’re carrying that wisdom forward by embracing growth, and self-prioritization. And what better way to honor that than by crafting a clear vision for where we’re headed?
Last year, my friend Fisayo invited me to a vision board party. I didn’t know what to expect—normally, I’d just jot down goals and hope for the best. But creating a vision board changed everything—it helped me dream big while bringing structure to my goals. It gave me clarity and perspective, a roadmap for my year.
This year, I thought, why not bring that experience to The Ketandu Collective? That’s how the idea for our Vision Mapping Workshop was born—a space to connect with you beyond beauty products. Because your glow comes from more than just skincare; it’s about aligning your life holistically.
We’re inviting you to join us on January 25th, 2025, at The JoyDragger’s House, Surulere for an intimate experience of reflection, transformation, and intentional planning. Together, we’ll craft your Good Year in a space that values your dreams as much as you do.
To get started, I’ve created a playlist designed to remind you that 2025 is yours—yours to shape, embrace, and make your own. 🎵 Listen Here
